Yellow Leaves Between the Veins? That’s Iron Deficiency — Fix It Fast
If your plants are showing yellowing between the veins of young leaves or at the growing tips, they’re telling you they’re iron deficient. GT Liquid Iron is a triple-chelated iron supplement formulated to correct and prevent iron deficiency quickly — restoring deep green colour, vigorous growth, and plant health in even the most challenging growing conditions.
Why GT Liquid Iron Works Where Others Don’t
Most iron supplements use a single chelate form that becomes unavailable outside a narrow pH range. GT Liquid Iron uses three iron sources for broad-spectrum availability across different pH levels and growing media:
- 🌱 Iron sulphate — fast-acting, immediately available iron for rapid deficiency correction
- 🌱 DTPA chelate — stable and available across a wide pH range in hydroponic systems
- 🌱 EDDHA chelate — the strongest chelate form, effective even in high-pH calcareous soils and gravel grow beds where iron is typically locked out
Total iron: 2.02g/L
Spot the Signs of Iron Deficiency Early
- ⚠️ Yellowing between the veins of young leaves (interveinal chlorosis) — the classic iron deficiency symptom
- ⚠️ Yellowing at the growing tips — new growth affected first while older leaves stay green
- ⚠️ Plants in calcareous soils or gravel grow beds — these environments lock up iron even when it’s present in the media
What You’ll See After Using GT Liquid Iron
- ✅ Restored deep green colour — chlorosis reverses as iron becomes available to the plant
- ✅ Resumed vigorous growth — iron is essential for chlorophyll production and energy transfer
- ✅ Stronger disease resistance — healthy, iron-sufficient plants are more resilient to pests and pathogens
- ✅ Works in problem soils — EDDHA chelate stays available even in high-pH and calcareous conditions
How to Use
Root drench (correction & prevention): Dilute 2ml per litre of water. Apply weekly until the deficiency is corrected, then reduce to maintenance as needed.
Foliar spray (fast correction): Dilute 1ml per litre of water. Spray in low light conditions (early morning or evening) to prevent leaf burn. Apply to both tops and undersides of leaves.
Tip: For fastest results, use both root drench and foliar application together until symptoms resolve.
Choose the Right Size
- 250ml — ideal for home growers and treating isolated deficiency issues
- 1L — great for regular growers maintaining iron levels across a full grow cycle
- 5L — best value for large-scale grows and commercial operations
