The Heavy-Duty Rooting Gel for Hardwood Cuttings.
Hardwood cuttings are tough to root ā they need more hormone strength and more support than soft or semi-hardwood growth. Clonex Red is built exactly for this. With a high-strength formula of 8 g/L Indole Butyric Acid (IBA), it gives hardwood cuttings the powerful push they need to develop strong, healthy roots.
The 5L size is the go-to choice for commercial nurseries, large-scale propagators, and serious growers who take a lot of cuttings and need a reliable, professional-grade gel they can count on.
Why Growers Choose Clonex Red
- ā High-strength 8 g/L IBA ā formulated specifically for hardwood cuttings
- ā Thick gel clings to the stem and stays in place through watering
- ā Seals the cut end to stop air getting in and keep the cutting fresh
- ā Full spectrum of nutrients and trace elements to feed new roots from day one
- ā Natural antimicrobials help keep the root zone clean and healthy
- ā Higher strike rates ā more cuttings rooting, less waste
- ā 5L bulk size ā best value for high-volume propagation
How to Use
- Decant the amount of gel you need into a clean, separate container (never dip directly into the main bottle)
- Trim excess leaves and prepare your growing medium
- Make a clean diagonal cut just below a node on your hardwood stem
- Dip the cut end into Clonex Red, making sure the whole cut area is coated
- Insert into your growing medium so the gel-covered section is fully surrounded
- Keep in a stable environment with consistent warmth and humidity while roots develop
- Discard any used gel ā never return it to the main container
Storage
Store in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate if possible to extend shelf life.
